Ted Bessell as Don Hollinger

That Girl Scene This curly-haired reporter for Newsview Magazine would like to be known as a darn good journalist, but it often seems as if his life is defined as being the hapless boyfriend of beautiful, would-be actress Ann Marie... a role that Donald wraps himself in wholly.

His involvement with Ann gives Donald's life meaning, but it also gives him more than his share of aggravation, comedy, and a little confusion on a daily basis! It seems that whenever they're together (which is for the most part constantly), every minor dilemma escalates into a comical catastrophe, causing him much exasperation.

An eager, sincere and well-mannered young man, Donald tends to be klutzy by nature and often provides as much slapstick amusement to his fellow New Yorkers, as Ann herself. But all of this is redeemed by his warmth and sensitivity, and lack of macho pretense.

His sweet vulnerability made Donald a boyfriend that many American girls compared their own boyfriends to... or at least a role model to search for!
